In a merger of the two major satellite radio players, XM Satellite and Sirius Satellite announced Monday that they plan to join forces.

The deal, an all-stock merger worth about $13 billion, according to a statement, would create a single satellite radio giant with about 14 million subscribers.

The companies plan to reveal more details in a conference call on Tuesday.
