Salesforce.com plans to announce next week that it is hosting and maintaining customer relationship management software for Javelin Technologies, which supplies electronic trade communication technology. The San Francisco-based Salesforce.com offers hosted applications it claims are less expensive and easier to install than those offered by Oracle, PeopleSoft and others offering CRM software. CRM software is intended to streamline customer service, simplify marketing and sales efforts, and help companies find new customers and generate more revenue from existing customers.
