Why r u getting upset over this?
It's business as usual. isn't it?
Have a WONDERFUL day, life is good lol.
And no, Linux is in no way based off of OS/2. Keep dreaming.
This shows the history behind Unix and all its derivatives. A really
neat chart.
Secondly was getting in bed with MS in this crappy deal. They could have distributed SuSE without playing MS's games.
I suppose this idiotic decision is to keep Ballmer from crying and throwing chairs.
Dell needs to cut the strings that MS has on them.
However, if you are a beginner, you might not like it, but I did learn it as a beginner, because back in 1995, there was nothing else out there.
Don't worry, we have Bigfoot and the Lochness monster on our side of defenders.
Don't worry, we have Bigfoot and the Lochness monster on our side of defenders.
Novel would be a fool to ever sell anything to MS, because they would do the same thing they did with DOS and backstab anything to make a buck.
That's their mentality for you, make a buck, lie, cheat, as long as at the end of the day you make a buck and profit builds.
No ethics what's so ever, you know that thing they teach you in college, "Ethic", you'll loose that if you get involved with them, they are like a crack dealer, don't care, as long as money is make and more pushing is made and volume build.
There is plenty of other Linux distros out there, Slackware, RedHat, Debian, Ubuntu, etc....

So the close pack of MS/Suse linux will never work as good as they are planning them to do, because they would have to change their behavior as they would no longer have a such a large market share, they would acctually have to become more humble and willing to change.
My recent run in with MS was like talking to a trained monkey. No clue how to treat a customer, just follow the script and hope that I go away. It's working. I'm going away.
I feel sorry for any of the employees who may have wanted to take the time and help me with the issue that I was having with the Emeral Empire. They are the ones stuck dispensing the scripted non answers.

- Microsoft continues to dominate...it's GREAT to be an un-regulated monopoly! That said, this is another nail in the coffin of Dell, already under major pressure from the likes of HP. Fortunately for server customers, HP hasn't knuckled under this absurd agreement (yet).
