Find out if you're being watched
With easily disguisable tracking devices the size of a paper clip available at any online spy tech store these days, it's difficult to know if and when you're being watched. Eavesdroppers have devices at their disposal that can transmit your most private conversations to a parked car four blocks away.

The Miniature Combination Detector attempts to put the power of privacy back into the hands of the consumer with an upgraded detection range. It is sensitive to surveillance equipment such as eavesdropping bugs, telephone taps, body transmitters, video cameras and GPS vehicle-tracking devices with frequencies of 1MHz to 6GHz.
The MCD-22H combination unit boasts an "extremely simple operation." The unit, which is gray and 5 inches by 3 inches by 1 inch, fits into the palm of your hand.
With its flat rectangular shape, it could pass for an MP3 player if it weren't for the extra-long on-off switch and the four red lights that flash when a signal is detected. The lights are designed to silently notify you whenever transmitters come within distances of up to 25 feet.
It is designed to detect both analog and digital formats, as well as the "Infinity" transmitter, which taps into a phone line and transmits all sounds within 400 feet. If a bug is detected, the MCD-22H also comes with headphones that allow you to tap into your own phone and listen in to everything the eavesdropper is monitoring.
The gadget can be bought online at spy tech stores such as SpyNexus and Great Southern Security for roughly $230.
